What is in the kit

  • Blank CSV template — headers for panel id, part name, qty, L×W×T in mm, material, grain, and four edge flags.
  • Shop checklist — validation, cutlist hygiene, nesting, and quotation hand-off before anyone cuts.
  • Sample wardrobe CSV — anonymized millimetre panels so teams can see a finished shape. Not a live customer job.

How to use it this week

  1. Print the checklist and run it on one live wardrobe or kitchen base.
  2. If you still need a spreadsheet print habit, fill the blank CSV from the drawing once — then stop re-entering after size changes.
  3. Compare against the sample CSV columns (grain, edges, thickness).
  4. In FMOS, configure the same module, validate, and export the real cutlist from the manufacturing package.

The kit does not invent CNC capabilities or replace site measurement. It standardises the hand-off language shops already use — then FMOS keeps sizes on one furniture record through nest and quote.

Reuse and attribution

Educators, associations, and blogs may link to this page and redistribute the three files with attribution to https://fmos.in/guides/modular-furniture-cutlist-starter-kit.html. Do not strip the sample CSV disclaimer or present anonymized rows as a client order.

Frequently asked questions

Is the cutlist starter kit free to share?

Yes. Share the blank CSV, checklist, and sample CSV with attribution to this page. Do not present the sample as a live customer job.

Does the kit replace design-to-manufacturing software?

No. It helps standardise columns and checks. FMOS cutlist software generates the live list from the configured furniture so you do not re-enter sizes.
