Furniture design-to-manufacturing software

Design once. Manufacture with confidence.

FMOS is a design-to-manufacturing workspace that turns modular furniture configurations into validated cutlists, nested sheets, and project quotations.

The module you configure is the module you validate, cut, and price. Sizes, materials, and quantities stay on that furniture from design through the quotation.

FMOS is furniture design-to-manufacturing software for modular furniture teams in India. You configure a wardrobe or kitchen module once, validate it against manufacturing rules, generate a cutlist, nest panels on sheets, and create a project quotation from the same furniture record — without re-entering sizes in Excel.

What FMOS is

One project, from configuration to quotation

FMOS keeps a client, a project, and configured furniture together. That furniture is checked against your manufacturing rules, turned into panels and a cutlist, nested on sheets, and priced into a quotation.

Who it is for

Independent interior designers, design firms, modular furniture manufacturers, and kitchen and wardrobe businesses. Each business works in its own workspace.

What it connects

Templates and dimensions, materials and finishes, manufacturing rules, validation, cutlist, sheet nest, bill of materials, bill of quantities, and quotation.

How a team starts

Create a workspace in the browser at app.fmos.in. Plans, seats, invoices, and Cashfree checkout cover the FMOS subscription. Furniture quotations stay on the project.

Product workflow

The same furniture data, all the way through

Sizes, materials, panels, sheet layouts, and commercial quantities stay on one furniture record. Each stage continues from the module you configured.

  1. 01

    Project

Keep the client and the job together. Project saves stay protected when two people update the same job.

  2. 02

    Configure

Start from a template or a structured custom unit. Set size, internals, materials, and finishes.

  3. 03

    Validate

Check the module against workspace manufacturing rules and clear blocking issues before release.

  4. 04

    Cutlist

Generate panels and a cutlist from that furniture. Print it or download CSV from the same module.

  5. 05

    Nest

Arrange those panels on sheets, respect grain, and export a sheet plan for the shop floor.

  6. 06

    Quote

Build the BOM and BOQ from the package, apply markup and tax, and record a quotation.

Design

Configure the furniture

Configure a module by template, size, internals, materials, and finish, then review it in 2D and 3D. That configuration is what validation, cutlists, nesting, and pricing use next.

Parametric modules

Set width, height, depth, internals, materials, and finishes on a structured module. Engineering, the cutlist, and the price all use that same furniture record.

  • Reusable furniture templates
  • Structured custom units on the same manufacturing path
  • Wardrobes and kitchen modules
  • Shared catalogue of boards, laminates, and edge bands
  • Design Workspace for placement, clearance, alignment, and protected saves

L-shaped kitchen runs

Compose an L-shaped kitchen from multiple modules, set the run lengths, and review the composition. Those modules continue into manufacturing rules, cutlists, and pricing.

  • Multi-module L-shaped run
  • Plan and browser 3D review
  • Same validation and cutlist path as other modules
  • Materials and finishes applied to the design

Visualization

See the furniture in 2D and 3D

Review a configured module in an engineering drawing and in a browser 3D view, with its materials and finishes applied. The views use the same furniture data that manufacturing will validate and cut.

2D review

Front, internal, plan, and section views are generated from the configured module. Dimensions on the drawing are the dimensions used for the cutlist.

Browser 3D view

Design Workspace places furniture in the project, checks clearances, and aligns selections. Suggestions are calculated in the product and applied only when someone approves them.

Materials catalogue

Boards, laminates, and edge bands in the workspace catalogue are applied to the furniture and later appear on the bill of materials. This wardrobe uses 18 mm BWP plywood, 18 mm MDF, and 6 mm MDF.

Engineer and produce

Check it against how you build

Manufacturing rules sit on the design. FMOS reports blocking issues, generates panels from the module, and nests those panels on sheets in the same project. Read the guides: design-to-manufacturing, cutlist software, sheet nesting, and kitchen and wardrobe in India.

Before the package is released

  • Workspace manufacturing rules, including joinery, gaps, and shelf span
  • Layout and dimension checks on the configured module
  • Blocking issues are shown before the package is released
  • Panels generated from that same module
  • Drawer and shelf sections raised so their contents fit

Nest the panels you designed

The panels from this wardrobe are nested on sheets in the same project. Grain holds rotation when the panel requires it. The CNC nesting gap and saw kerf stay separate measurements on the machine profile. Review the nest, re-optimize the job, and export a sheet plan.

Cutlist from this wardrobe

These cut sizes come from the wardrobe sliding 3-leaf shown above, configured at 2400 × 2100 × 600 mm. The full list can be printed or downloaded, including edges and the hanging rods, sliding track, and anti-tip strap.

Commercialize

Price the same furniture you will manufacture

Quantities and a selling price are calculated from the manufacturing package. The quotation is recorded on the same project, inside the workspace. See BOM, BOQ, and quotation.

Bill of materials

FMOS builds a bill of materials from the panels, materials, and hardware on the manufacturing package.

Bill of quantities and price

A bill of quantities and a price use the workspace markup and a default tax rate that can be overridden for the workspace.

Quotation

Create a quotation from the project’s priced bill of quantities and record its status on that project. Quote permissions decide who can create and approve it.

Who it’s for

Built for the people who design and build modular furniture

Designers, firms, factories, and kitchen and wardrobe businesses share one path: configure the module, then validate, cut, nest, and price it.

Independent designer

A module the factory can use

Client furniture is configured from a template, adjusted for size and finish, and reviewed in 2D and 3D. When the job is ready, that same module is validated, cutlisted, and priced.

  • Templates, clients, and one project
  • 2D and browser 3D review
  • Cutlist and price from the configured module
Interior design firm

One project for the whole team

Each client job stays in a project, and roles decide who can design, estimate, or release. Manufacturing output comes from that shared furniture, so the team works from one configuration.

  • Clients and projects
  • Role-based access for the team
  • L-shaped kitchen composition
Manufacturers

Rules, cutlists, nests, and quotations

Workspace manufacturing rules are applied to the design. Blocking issues are visible before release. The cutlist, sheet nest, BOM, and quotation all come from that package.

  • Validation and package release
  • Sheet nesting with grain limits
  • BOM, BOQ, and a project quotation
Kitchen and wardrobe

Standard modules and an L-shaped run

Wardrobes and kitchen modules start from templates. An L-shaped kitchen is composed as a run, then those modules continue into manufacturing rules, cutlists, and pricing.

  • Wardrobe and kitchen templates
  • L-shaped kitchen composition
  • Cutlists and pricing from those modules

In the workspace

What a team does with one project

Modular wardrobe for a client

Start from a wardrobe template, such as the sliding 3-leaf at 2400 × 2100 × 600 mm. Review it in 2D and 3D, validate it, generate the cutlist, nest the panels, and price a quotation from that package.

L-shaped kitchen

Compose an L-shaped run from modules, review the composition, and continue those modules into manufacturing rules, cutlists, and pricing.

Factory release

Check the furniture against workspace rules, generate the manufacturing package when the gate allows, then print the cutlist and export a sheet plan.

Template library

Start from reusable furniture templates

Choose a template, preview it, and customize dimensions, internals, and finishes for the project. Templates are the starting point for manufacturing.

Key outputs

What the project can produce

Cutlists, sheet plans, quantities, and quotations come from the released furniture. Teams that already post files to a router can also generate DXF and G-code from a nesting job.

Cutlist

Print the panel cutlist or download it as CSV from the configured furniture.

Sheet-plan PDF

Review the nest and export a sheet plan for the shop.

BOM and quotation

Build quantities and a selling price from the manufacturing package, then record a quotation on the project.

Panel labels

Print panel labels from the nesting job, including an identifier that can be pasted back to look up the panel.

Workspace

Run the workspace as a team

Isolated workspaces

Registration creates a workspace for the business. Projects, furniture, and quotations stay in that workspace.

Role-based access

Invite the team and assign a role. Permissions control who can design, validate, nest, price, and approve a quotation.

Subscription billing

Plans, seats, invoices, and Cashfree checkout cover the FMOS subscription. Furniture quotations are priced separately, on the project.

Why FMOS

Design and manufacturing share one furniture record

The same structured furniture continues from configuration through validation, cutlist, nesting, and price. Design, manufacturing, and the quotation share that project.

One configuration

Dimensions, internals, materials, and finishes are set on the module. Engineering and costing use that record, so sizes are entered with the design.

Factory information from the design

Panels, the cutlist, and the sheet plan are generated from the released furniture, with grain and cutting gaps carried on the nest.

Commercial numbers from the package

The bill of materials, bill of quantities, price, and quotation stay tied to the manufacturing data on the same project.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Answers about the workspace as it works today.

What is FMOS?

FMOS is a design-to-manufacturing workspace for modular furniture. A team configures a module, validates it, nests the panels, and creates a quotation from the same project.

Who is FMOS for?

Independent interior designers, interior design firms, modular furniture manufacturers, and kitchen and wardrobe businesses. Each registration creates an isolated workspace, and roles control who can design, validate, nest, price, and approve a quotation.

How does a project move from design to a cutlist?

Create a client and project, configure furniture from a template or a structured custom unit, review it in 2D and 3D, check it against manufacturing rules, then generate panels and a cutlist from that same module.

Does FMOS support modular furniture manufacturing?

Yes. Designers start from reusable templates, set dimensions, internals, materials, and finishes, and carry that configuration into validation, cutlists, nesting, and pricing. An L-shaped kitchen can be composed from multiple modules on the same path.

Does FMOS generate furniture cutlists?

Yes. After a manufacturing package is generated from the configured furniture, the cutlist can be reviewed, printed, or downloaded as CSV.

Does FMOS support sheet nesting?
